Taiz: The branch of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, in coordination with various associations and centers dedicated to disability care in the Taiz Governorate, organized a significant speech event to honor Mawlid al-Nabawi. The gathering was graced by the presence of a member of the Shura Council and two deputy governors, underscoring the importance of the occasion.
According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the Social Unit used the platform to highlight the necessity of recognizing and addressing the needs of vulnerable groups, particularly people with disabilities. He urged relevant authorities and businessmen to extend their support and care, emphasizing that social solidarity is a crucial element in serving society, inspired by prophetic teachings.
The event also saw two students from the School for the Disabled delivering poignant speeches. They underscored the importance of creating an inclusive educational environment and providing necessary assistive technologies to ensure that students with disabilities can continue their education and actively contribute to society.
The program included segments of sign language chanting and a poetic recital, adding a cultural dimension to the event. It was well attended by social figures and parents of individuals with disabilities, marking a successful celebration of both the occasion and the commitment to disability care.
