Sanaa: A public event was held on Tuesday in Al-Mashannah District, Ibb Governorate, to commemorate Ashura, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), with official and community attendance. At the event, attended by the Deputy Governor Harith Al-Maliki and the district mobilization official Abdullah Amer, the district education sector official Essam Al-Burh and cultural activist Mohammed Murshid highlighted the significance of Imam Hussein's revolution, describing it as a humanitarian mission and a renewed approach embodying steadfastness in principles and confrontation of injustice. They affirmed that Imam Hussein represents a symbol of human dignity and rejection of submission to falsehood.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Burh and Murshid noted that Imam Hussein's uprising aimed at reform, enjoining good and forbidding evil, rejecting tyranny and oppression, until he was martyred while remaining firm in his stance, presenting an enduring model of patience, sacrifice, and devotion. They explained that the Yemeni people, on this occasion, recall the meanings of Karbala and Imam Hussein's revolution, and the values of resilience and pride it embodies, stressing that peoples committed to truth and freedom cannot be defeated, and that the will of the free remains stronger than attempts of coercion and tyranny-just as Karbala has remained present in the conscience of the nation, and Imam Hussein's revolution continues to represent dignity and rejection of injustice.

Following the event, a mass public stand was held in response to the call of Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirming readiness and mobilization to end the aggression and blockade. The statement issued by the stand emphasized the importance of continuing general mobilization, strengthening readiness, preparedness, and adhering to the option of confrontation to end the aggression and break the blockade. It renewed full authorization to the Revolution Leader to take appropriate and effective measures to end the aggression and stop the looting of national resources.

The statement also welcomed the contents of the speech delivered by Sayyed Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, including its practical directives in the areas of qualification, preparation, and readiness for the national liberation battle, affirming commitment to implementing those directives on the ground.
