Events and Cultural Gatherings in Bani Matar Honor Prophet’s Birthday

Sana'a: Bani Matar District in Sana'a Governorate hosted a series of cultural events and evening gatherings on Monday to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The commemorations took place across the district, highlighting the community's connection to the Prophet and his teachings.

According to Yemen News Agency, one significant event took place in Beit Saad village, Janb sub-district, attended by notable figures such as Acting Director of the Prime Minister's Office Fahd Al-Ezzi and Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hadi Ammar. Scholar Yahya Qasim Abu Awadha emphasized the significance of the occasion, noting that it serves as a means to strengthen ties with the Prophet and draw inspiration from his life to promote responsibility and awareness in facing challenges.

During the event, Abu Awadha noted that the celebrations reflect the Prophet's esteemed position in the hearts of Yemenis, demonstrating their commitment to his teachings in the face of adversity. He highlighted that the Prophet's Birthday is an opportunity for Yemenis to recall the greatness of his message, which includes guidance and mercy, and to renew their dedication to his path and the values he established.

Bani Matar District Director Yahya Al-Qanous added that the occasion is unifying for Yemenis, allowing them to remember the support of the Ansar for the Prophet and renew their connection with the Holy Quran and the sound Prophetic approach.

The Sharia Sciences schools, in collaboration with the General Mobilization, organized a cultural event attended by Shura Council member Mohammed Salman and Mobilization Committee member Mansour Al-Lakoumi. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Houri, Deputy Head of the General Authority for Science, Research, Technology and Innovation, stressed the importance of the occasion in strengthening ties with the Seal of the Prophets and drawing lessons from his life.

Educational Sector official Talib Dahhan reviewed aspects of the Prophet's life and qualities, emphasizing the need to embody them in practical life. Additional events were held at various schools across the district, including Al-Rasoul Al-Aazam School, Al-Ataa Al-Tarbawi School, Al-Shaheed Al-Qaid and Al-Shaheed Al-Afeeri schools, and May 22 School. Speakers at these events underscored the importance of adhering to the values introduced by Prophet Muhammad and translating them into actions.
