Sana'a: Several executive offices in Sana'a province organized a speech event on Tuesday commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), affirming support for the decisions and choices made by the leadership, and declaring combat readiness while continuing mobilization efforts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the First Deputy Governor of Sana'a, Hameed Aasim, along with deputies Abdulmalik Al-Gharbi, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntaser, and Faris Al-Kahali. The Deputy Governor for Municipal and Environmental Affairs, Mohammed Al-Habari, emphasized that the Yemeni people's commemoration of this anniversary reflects their loyalty to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and their adherence to the Quranic principles guiding their resistance against tyranny.
He stated that marking the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (Ashura) serves as an opportunity to draw lessons and apply them in confronting contemporary global arrogance, embodied by the U.S., Israel, and their allies. Al-Habari praised the Yemeni people's steadfast support for Gaza amid widespread retreat and submission, stressing that this embodies the true spirit of Imam Hussein's path of sacrifice in defending the Islamic nation's causes, especially as Arab and Islamic regimes falter.
Meanwhile, Aziz Al-Rajali, head of the Technical and Vocational Education Sector, affirmed the commitment to Imam Hussein's path of sacrifice and jihad as the only true way to protect the Islamic nation from attempts to distort its identity and strip it of dignity. He noted that the sacrifices made by the Yemeni people in defending their homeland and supporting Palestine and Gaza reflect Imam Hussein's legacy in resisting oppression and confronting arrogance. Al-Rajali urged continued resilience and readiness to counter American, Israeli, and British aggression, inspired by Imam Hussein's revolution against tyranny.
For his part, Ibrahim Hameeduddin, Director of Awareness at the Zakat Authority, stated that the tragedy of Karbala represents one of the greatest calamities for the Islamic nation in losing its greatest figures and failing to stand with them. He explained that the martyrdom of the Prophet's grandson (peace be upon him and his family) was a profound tragedy for the Muslim world, necessitating reflection on its lessons and steadfastness in upholding truth while rejecting submission, combating modern tyrants-the U.S., Britain, the Zionist entity, and their allies.
He emphasized that Imam Hussein's revolution embodied truth and justice in facing oppression, stressing that the Yemeni people's choice to break free from domination and subjugation lies in adhering to Islam and sincerely returning to the path of Allah, His Messenger, and the Prophet's household.
