Hodeida: An expanded meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, which included the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Youssef Al-Madani, and the Governors of the governorates of Hodeida Abdullah Atifi, Hajjah Hilal Al-Sufi, Mahwit Hanin Qatina and Raymah Faris Al-Habari.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting discussed ways to enhance local development in the governorates, alongside efforts in mobilization, recruitment, and military and security arrangements to confront movements of the forces of American, Zionist, and British aggression.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development shared the Government of Change and Construction’s strategy to establish solid foundations for a modern Yemeni state, guided by well-studied plans and programs that align with the requirements of the current stage of change and construction.
He highlighted the government’s focus on reducing the import bill by encouraging local production through community initiatives, particularly in the agricultural sector. The aim is to achieve self-sufficiency and enhance sustainable development by supporting various components such as inputs, crops, barriers, and dams.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the necessity for collective responsibility given the current conditions caused by the aggression and siege. He acknowledged the significant role of community initiatives in implementing service projects to alleviate citizen suffering and noted the development in the work of multi-purpose cooperative societies.
Major General Youssef Al-Madani, the commander of the Fifth Military Region, discussed the current military and security situation and the readiness to counter movements by the American-Zionist-British forces. He stressed the importance of strengthening development and service aspects to bolster community resilience and expressed preparedness to thwart any escalation by hostile forces.
The meeting, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Ammar Al-Hareb, and governors of the governorates, recognized the efforts of the Leader of the Revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction in enhancing development and service aspects.
The governors expressed their commitment to achieving local development at the governorate and directorate levels. They reviewed the general conditions in their regions, identified priority development projects, and discussed mobilization efforts to strengthen the military and security front within the framework of the battle of “the promised conquest and the holy jihad.”
