Sana’a: The first expanded meeting of the unified team for the Code of Conduct and Work Ethics at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and its affiliated units was held today at the Yemeni Oil Company, with the participation of the Code of Conduct teams from a number of ministries. The meeting aimed to evaluate and review the outcomes of previous meetings within the framework of embodying collective work for implementing the code in public service units.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting sought to produce a new model and experience in some ministries, as highlighted by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development, Abdullah Haider. He emphasized several tracks in performance, particularly those related to developing services, simplifying procedures, and enhancing the organizational structure in public service units.
Haider underscored the significance of evaluating and developing the outcomes of past meetings to formulate visions and recommendations for preparing a clear plan to enhance administrative work in line with the Code of Conduct. He advocated for the use of modern technologies and the training of cadres to bolster the role of various sectors in providing citizen services.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, Nasser Al-Aji, highlighted the Code of Conduct’s importance in improving performance and addressing workflow imbalances, considering it a qualitative leap in job work and ethics. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at improving job performance and encouraged teamwork to optimally apply the Code.
The meeting, which included key figures such as the Director of the General Corporation for Oil and Gas, Mahmoud Al-Noum, and the head of the unified team at the Ministry of Oil and its affiliated units, Samir Hashem, aimed to review previous outcomes in a manner that enhances teamwork according to the Code of Conduct in civil service units. Other attendees included the Deputy Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Osama Al-Khatib, Commercial Affairs, Dr. Rami Hanab, and Technical Affairs, Nasser bin Habtoor.
