Sana'a: A large meeting was held by the Zakat and Tribal Affairs offices in Taiz Governorate to commemorate the Day of Wilayah (Guardianship).

According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, Saeed Quraish, the social affairs official for the western regions, reviewed the significance of this occasion in Islamic history. He explained that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) outlined the leadership and political path for the nation to protect it from a power vacuum.
