Taiz: The governorate of Taiz is witnessing extensive preparations to commemorate the Annual Martyr’s Anniversary for the year 1447 AH, in honor of the sacrifices made by the martyrs in defense of the homeland and in support of the nation’s causes.
According to Yemen News Agency, under the supervision of the local authority and the Mobilization Department, the Branch of the Martyrs’ Families Care Foundation in the governorate continues to make arrangements for the anniversary’s events and accompanying activities that reflect the high status the martyrs hold in the hearts of the people of Taiz.
The Director of the Foundation’s branch, Ali al-Junaid, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the governorate is witnessing intensified preparations for the commemoration, as an expression of loyalty and gratitude for the heroic epics written by the martyrs in defense of the homeland’s sovereignty and independence.
He explained that the activities marking the Martyr’s Anniversary will include photo exhibitions, models showcasing the martyrs’ heroism, cultural and awareness events, and visits to martyrs’ cemeteries, where preparations and organizational work are actively underway.
Al-Junaid added that the ongoing preparations reflect deep loyalty to those who watered the soil of the homeland with their blood, noting that this year’s commemoration will be distinguished in organization, content, and public participation.
He further stressed that the Palestinian cause will remain a central focus of the anniversary’s events, as it represents the core issue of the Arab and Islamic nation, particularly amid the continued suffering of the people in the Gaza Strip, which calls for broader action across the Arab and Islamic world to uphold their cause.
The Annual Martyr’s Anniversary serves as a renewed occasion for the Yemeni people to draw inspiration from the values of steadfastness, sacrifice, and devotion, and to reaffirm their commitment to the martyrs’ path in confronting the enemies of the nation and the Ummah until full victory is achieved.
