Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at Ibb University Celebrates Prophet’s Birthday

Ibb: The Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at Ibb University, in cooperation with the Student Forum, organized a celebratory event on Monday to commemorate the Prophet's birthday.

According to Yemen News Agency, University President Dr. Nasr al-Hujaili emphasized the importance of drawing lessons and values from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and translating them into behaviors and practices that strengthen the development of university students and instill the values of knowledge, work, and responsibility. He stressed the necessity of utilizing the activities and events associated with the occasion to raise awareness and solidify the faith-based identity of future generations.

He called upon all members of the university community to actively participate in the large central event that the university will hold tomorrow morning, reflecting their awareness of and connection to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and embodying the significance of this occasion in the hearts of Yemeni society.

Dr. Al-Hujaili highlighted the tangible steps taken by the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences in developing its infrastructure, maintaining and upgrading its laboratories and equipment, and resuming beekeeping and honey production activities. He also noted the college's efforts in enhancing plant and animal production, all of which contribute to supporting local production and strengthening food security and self-sufficiency.

He commended the college's leadership and its academic and administrative staff for their work in developing the educational and research process, activating applied activities, and strengthening the college's role in community service. He emphasized that the university gives special attention to the agricultural and productive sectors, recognizing their fundamental importance to sustainable development and community service.

In his address on behalf of the academic staff, Dr. Ramzi Al-Aghbari stressed the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday and drawing inspiration from its meanings and significance in the lives of individuals and society. He also emphasized the importance of emulating the righteous path of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in establishing the values of knowledge, ethics, solidarity, and good deeds.

He noted that the university will continue to support scientific and applied initiatives and activities that connect knowledge with the needs of society and encourage students to innovate and produce, especially in the agricultural and food sectors, thus strengthening the university's role in achieving development and serving the community.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Student Forum, Mohammed Al-Kebsi, emphasized the importance of the active participation of university students and staff in the central event and their contribution to the organization and mobilization efforts, reflecting a spirit of participation and responsibility and embodying engagement with this religious occasion.
