Sana'a: The Faculty of Medicine at Sana'a University today celebrated the graduation of the 36th batch of the Human Medicine program, consisting of 410 male and female doctors for the academic year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony was attended by notable figures including the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban. He expressed his personal connection to the faculty as an alumnus and commended the institution for maintaining its academic momentum and expanding its specialized postgraduate programs despite ongoing challenges such as aggression and siege. Dr. Shaiban emphasized the critical need for the graduates' contributions to the Ministry of Health and Environment amid continuous population growth, encouraging them to commit to serving the homeland. He highlighted that Yemeni hospitals provide a unique educational and clinical environment, offering a diverse range of medical cases that enrich practical training.
Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, remarked on the significance of this graduation day for Sana'a University. He stressed that the event marks a milestone in the university's history, underscoring the institution's enduring academic and research contributions. Dr. Al-Duais noted that this graduation is just the beginning of the graduates' journey into research and responsible clinical practice.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Bakhiti, President of Sana'a University, highlighted the exceptional quality of this graduating class, which is eagerly anticipated by hospitals and health centers for their diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
