Sana'a: Today, popular festivals, oratorical events, and evenings were organized in the districts of Sana'a province under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master," celebrating the anniversary of the Day of the Guardianship (Yawm al-Wilayah) of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, the events took place in the districts of Al Haymah Ad Dakhiliyyah, Al Haymah Al Kharijiyyah, Manakhah, Sa'fan, Bani Matar, Hamdan, Sanhan, Bani Bahloul, Bilad Ar Rus, Arhab, Nihm, Jihanah, At Tiyal, Khawlan, Bani Dabyan, Al Hisn, and Sana'a Al Jadidah.
The events embodied the Yemenis' connection to their faith-based identity and the principle of guardianship (wilayah) proclaimed by the Greatest Messenger by the command of Almighty God. Various segments highlighted the fruits of the Yemenis' and the axis countries' allegiance to Imam Ali, including dignity, honor, victory, and liberation from foreign guardianship and external hegemony. The events emphasized that wilayah is a divine command and an integral part of religion, and that the acceptance of other deeds depends on it.
The segments also discussed the significance of commemorating this anniversary to strengthen the connection to Imam Ali, in compliance with Quranic teachings and the Prophet's guidance regarding the future of the Islamic nation after his passing. The events expressed joy and delight through poems, traditional Bara'a dances, folk chants, and authentic popular songs, affirming that the principle of wilayah and sincere allegiance to those whom God commanded to follow is a source of victory, honor, and immunization against allegiance to enemies.
The events urged everyone to actively participate and interact with the central events to be held on Thursday morning, 18 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, in the various squares designated by the organizing committee.
