Field Visit Evaluates Market Supply and Regulatory Measures in Mocha

Sana'a: The Taiz branch of the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO), in conjunction with the Office of Industry and Trade, conducted an extensive field visit on Monday to the marketplaces in Mocha city. The primary aim was to evaluate the supply situation and enhance the regulatory role of the Authority in both the city and its port.

According to Yemen News Agency, Riyadh Al-Bukhaiti, the Director of the YSMO Taiz branch, stated that the team closely examined the commercial and supply activities within the city, ensuring the availability of goods. Additionally, they distributed informative brochures and awareness materials to merchants and market workers. This initiative is intended to foster product oversight and ensure adherence to approved standards and specifications.

Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that this visit underscores the leadership's dedication to bolstering the regulatory framework in Mocha city and its port. The initiative also aimed to identify necessary steps for enhancing regulatory measures, including the calibration of scales and measuring instruments. Such efforts are crucial for regulating commercial and supply activities, ultimately safeguarding consumer interests.
