Jiblah: A team from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Ibb Governorate conducted a field visit today to Jiblah District to revitalize and activate stalled community initiatives and to review the implementation progress of a number of road projects. During the visit, a meeting was held with residents of the villages of Al-Musiji and Al-Talaqah in the Jabal Ra'wiyin sub-district, attended by the Director of Jiblah District, Sultan Al-Shaji'; the Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects Financing Unit in the governorate, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qadri; and the Director of the Central Interventions Unit in the governorate, Ahmed Bin Nai'f.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting discussed ways to resume the implementation of the initiative to expand, level, and pave the stone road connecting the sub-districts of Jabal Ra'wiyin and Al-Shahli, which had been stalled for more than a year and a half due to weak community participation. The team also inspected the project to cut, expand, and survey the Al-Ardah - Mamsi Sarmah road in the Jabal Ra'wiyin sub-district, implemented under the direct intervention of the Central Interventions Unit, with a length of 1.5 kilometers and a width of four meters, with a 100% completion rate, serving more than 600 citizens in three villages. The team also visited the concrete paving initiative project for the Al-Aslaf - Al-Zubayyah road and reviewed its progress.
The team also reviewed the progress of the expansion and survey project for the Jabal Ra'wiyin sub-district road, implemented through a community initiative supported by the Central Interventions Unit with diesel fuel, with a length of two kilometers and a width of four meters, at an estimated cost of three million riyals, with a 50% completion rate. The Director of Jiblah District affirmed that community initiatives are a fundamental pillar in implementing service and development projects, praising the response of residents in the targeted areas to complete stalled projects, reflecting growing awareness of the importance of partnership between the community and supporting entities in serving local development.
For his part, the Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects Financing Unit in the governorate explained that the unit works alongside road projects to support the agricultural sector, noting that a comprehensive study will be prepared on the feasibility of expanding coffee cultivation in the Jabal Ra'wiyin sub-district, and work will be done to support the area with coffee seedlings, in addition to studying the possibility of contributing to the construction of a water barrier to enhance water resources and serve agricultural activity in the area.
In turn, the Director of the Central Interventions Unit in the governorate pointed out that the unit attaches great importance to priority community initiatives and is keen to provide possible support to projects that have a direct impact on citizens' lives, affirming continued coordination with the local authority and cooperative societies to ensure the completion of stalled projects and raise their implementation levels. Meanwhile, the Head of the Jiblah Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society, Sadiq Al-Muradi, praised the role played by the Central Interventions Unit and the local authority in mobilizing community initiatives, affirming that the integration of official and community efforts represents the real guarantee for completing development projects, especially in the road sector, which is one of the sectors most closely linked to citizens' daily needs.
The visit was attended by the Directors of Initiatives in the district, Abduldayim Al-Hadrami; the Director of the Branch of the Agricultural Cooperative Union in the governorate, Amjad Baydan; the Executive Director of the Society, Mohammed Ali Saleh; and the Mobilization Officer, Alaa Al-Sadah.
