Fifth Intel Conference on Modern Smart Technologies Opens in Ibb

Sanaa: The Fifth International Scientific Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications commenced on Tuesday at Ibb University. The event, organized by the university in collaboration with the Yemen Research Foundation, has attracted participation from 550 researchers representing 32 countries. The conference is scheduled to run for two days.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister of Education Hasan al-Sa'adi underscored the conference's importance in advancing research outputs and fostering innovation, which are crucial for comprehensive development. Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah commended the university for its leading role in education and preparation of the workforce.

University rector Dr. Nasr al-Hujaili highlighted advancements in digital transformation at the institution, citing improvements such as automated student services and infrastructure development.

The conference includes presentations of approximately 83 research papers addressing topics such as AI, cybersecurity, big data, robotics, smart cities, renewable energy, and related areas.

Following the opening session, officials toured newly established labs and classrooms. The Minister and Governor also inaugurated the updated Ibb University website and introduced an automated student document issuance system designed to enhance administrative efficiency.
