Sana'a: First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah, along with Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim and Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah al-Amir, conducted a comprehensive review of the activities and investment opportunities offered by the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority on Monday. The visit focused on understanding the Authority's contributions to mineral exploration and geological studies, which are pivotal for boosting the national economy.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials were given insights into the challenges faced by the Authority, as well as the lucrative investment opportunities that lie ahead. Miftah underscored the Authority's vital role in ensuring sustainable development and maintaining national sovereignty over Yemen's natural resources.
Minister al-Amir discussed ongoing efforts to enhance the Authority's infrastructure and databases, aiming to attract investment and promote transparency. Meanwhile, Minister Quhaim highlighted the significance of geological data in supporting infrastructure projects, emphasizing its integral role in national development.
The delegation also took the opportunity to visit the Authority's geological museum, which showcases Yemen's rich natural diversity, providing an educational insight into the country's geological wealth.
