Sana'a: Khalid Al-Madani, First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, reviewed on Wednesday the workflow at the General Zakat Authority office in the capital.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, Al-Madani listened to a briefing from the Director of the General Zakat Authority Office in the Capital, Mohammed Al-Alfi. The briefing covered the work system followed at the office, starting from the procedures for collecting Zakat revenues, through auditing and organizing mechanisms, and ending with disbursement operations targeting the poor and needy in accordance with the approved regulations.
He was also informed about the level of performance, work discipline, and the efforts exerted in carrying out tasks and activities across the office's departments and sections. This included the processing of transactions related to the beneficiaries of the Authority's services in the capital.
During the visit, a package of Zakat-related projects in the banking sector planned for implementation in 2026 was also reviewed. An initial assessment of these projects was conducted to evaluate their effectiveness and the expected impact on improving the conditions of the most needy groups.
