Sana’a: A meeting was held in Sana’a on Monday, which included Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Jamal Amer, the Secretary of the Capital, and a number of provincial governors. The meeting discussed projects allocated to the capital and provinces funded by UN and international organizations to improve the level of services provided to citizens.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key figures, including the Secretary of the Capital, Hamoud Abad, and the governors of various provinces such as Dhamar, Hodeida, Amran, Marib, and Sa’ada. Also present were the acting governors of Taiz and Dhale’, along with undersecretaries of administration, local, and rural development. Minister Amer emphasized the crucial role of governors in fostering sustainable development. He highlighted the importance of creating a conducive environment for such development in collaboration with relevant organizations to support communities most in need due to the longstanding blockade on Yemen. The focus is on developing national alternatives to address these challenges.
The provincial governors underscored the necessity of coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development, and other relevant ministries and donors. They aim to ensure that projects funded by foreign entities proceed smoothly without encountering administrative or field challenges, adhering to the five rules that govern the operations of UN and international organizations.
