Sana'a: Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned the visit of the self-proclaimed president of Somaliland to Israel.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a statement, the ministry expressed that anyone who visits, shakes hands with, or recognizes what it described as Zionist war criminals, whose hands are stained with the blood of Arabs in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen, and who harbor hostility toward the Islamic nation and its holy sites, should feel shame and disgrace.
The ministry further stated that Hargeisa's growing ties with Israel would only distance it further from its Arab and Islamic surroundings and would neither achieve its objectives nor serve its interests. It called for the Arab position to move beyond mere condemnation and adopt tangible measures to confront what it termed as disgraceful steps taken by Hargeisa.
The statement emphasized that Israel would not succeed in implementing its plans in Somalia and the Horn of Africa, affirming that Yemen would stand against such efforts. Additionally, the ministry reaffirmed Yemen's full support for the Federal Republic of Somalia in confronting what it described as a Zionist project targeting Somalia, the Horn of Africa, and the wider region.
