Dhamar: The agriculture sector in Dhamar province has initiated the formation of field schools in several agricultural areas across the districts of Jahran, Al-Manar, Anas, and Dhamar. This development marks the beginning of efforts to enhance agricultural knowledge and practices among local farmers.
According to Yemen News Agency, the areas of “Al-Maather” and “Wadi Samar” in Al-Manar district, “Dhi Sahar” in Anas district, “Beit Al-Nahmi” in Jahran district, and “Al-Qaima” in Dhamar district, have seen the commencement of awareness and guidance activities aimed at farmers. The establishment of field schools is part of the emergency agriculture program for the winter season 1446 AH, funded by the executive unit of the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Management in Dhamar.
Dr. Adel Omar, the director of the agriculture sector in the province, emphasized that these activities are crucial for grain farmers under the field schools project. Engineer Fuad Al-Kouri, the director of the Extension Department in the province’s agriculture sector, highlighted the role of field schools in advancing the agricultural sector. He noted that these schools are instrumental in introducing effective agricultural practices and crop management techniques, ranging from land preparation to the harvesting process.
