Sana'a: Tomorrow marks the beginning of the fourth summer festival for talents and creators of summer schools in the Capital Secretariat for the year 1446 AH. The event is organized by the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses.
According to Yemen News Agency, the festival will span four days and feature student competitions from open and model summer schools across all districts of the Capital Secretariat. Participants will compete in eight categories: the Holy Quran, methodology, choral singing, poetry, theater, drawing and sculptures, recitation and oratory, and Bara', which is a form of traditional folk arts.
The Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses has finalized all necessary preparations to host the festival in Sana'a. This includes ensuring broad participation from various districts within the Secretariat.
Today, a meeting was held at Dar Al-Aytam School where the committee approved the judging panels for the competition categories and assigned tasks to the working committees. These include the organizing, media, technical, reception, secretariat, follow-up, and financial committees.
The meeting was attended by deputies from the School Activities Department and the Deputy Head of the Festival's Organizing Committee, Abdullah Al-Madani and Abbas Al-Numairi, along with other educational and specialized department leaders. They reviewed competition rules, evaluation criteria, and the organizational responsibilities of each committee.
The attendees expressed their confidence in the festival's potential to highlight and nurture student talents. They stressed the importance of continuous follow-up with creators to achieve meaningful outcomes for both students and society.
Al-Madani highlighted the festival's role in motivating students, discovering talents, supporting them, and developing their skills across various scientific, cultural, and creative fields. He emphasized the necessity for combined efforts and active participation to ensure the festival's success and its beneficial impact on students and society.
