Free Medical Camp Launched at Houth Rural Hospital in Amran Governorate

Amran: Today, a free medical treatment camp was launched at Houth Rural Hospital in Amran Governorate. The event, organized by the Ministry of Health and Environment in partnership with Sana’a University, marks the upcoming month of Ramadan.

According to Yemen News Agency, the camp will run for three days and involves the participation of specialists and consultants from various fields. It offers free services in medical specialties such as pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, ear, nose and throat, dentistry, orthopedics, dermatology, cardiology, and general surgery. Additionally, the camp provides laboratory tests and free medication dispensing.

Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Mutahar, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Sana’a University, highlighted the university’s involvement as a responsibility towards citizens, seeing the camp as a crucial step to assist those affected by the blockade. Dr. Mohammed Al-Houthi, Director of the Health Office in the Governorate, noted that the camp offers diagnostic and therapeutic services to local residents and those from neighboring areas, minimizing the need for patients to travel far for healthcare.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Imad, Director General of Camps at the Ministry of Health, mentioned that the camp aims to serve over 2,500 cases, reinforcing the ministry’s commitment to conducting such medical camps across various directorates. Abdul Wahid Al-Ashqas, Director of Houth Directorate, acknowledged the ministry’s support for rural hospitals and expressed hope for the continuation of these health initiatives.

The medical camp is in line with the directives of the leadership of the revolution and the government’s program of change and construction, emphasizing the Ministry of Health’s dedication to providing medical services throughout the directorates.
