Sanaa: Free surgical operations have commenced at Al-Hazm Hospital Authority in Al-Jawf governorate as part of a free medical camp organized by the Republican Teaching Hospital Authority in the capital Sana'a in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Environment.
According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the medical camp, Dr. Naji Al-Hubaishi, stated that the camp is providing surgical services in urology and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialties. On its first day, the camp delivered 294 medical services and received 287 patients across its specialized clinics. Of those, 173 patients were treated in the ENT clinic, while 114 received consultations in the urology clinic.
Dr. Al-Hubaishi explained that the camp is being implemented in two phases. The first phase covers urology and ENT surgeries, while the second phase will include ophthalmic surgery, general surgery, and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures. He emphasized that the initiative is part of the Republican Teaching Hospital Authority's efforts to expand access to free specialized healthcare services and ease the burden on residents of remote and underserved areas.
Dr. Al-Hubaishi also praised the leadership of the Republican Teaching Hospital Authority in Sana'a for organizing the free medical camp at Al-Hazm Hospital and providing the necessary support and facilities to ensure its success.
