Sa'ada: A comprehensive meeting was held on Thursday at the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Sa'ada governorate to reactivate the Friends of Kidney Patients Association in the governorate after its inactivity for several years.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Shura Council member Hadi al-Hamzi, where the head of oversight and inspection for the Friends of Kidney Patients Association praised the positive response to reactivating the association's work following its years-long hiatus. He underscored the association's importance in supporting kidney patients.
The meeting highlighted the challenges faced by kidney patients in the governorate, urging philanthropists and businessmen to extend their support officially and through community efforts. This call to action aims to provide much-needed aid to alleviate the patients' suffering.
Commendations were extended to the General Authority for Zakat, Yemen Mobile Company, the Republican Hospital Authority, and others who have consistently supported kidney patients, contributing to easing their hardships.
In his address on behalf of kidney patients, Mohammed Stine emphasized the multiple challenges patients face, particularly due to ongoing conflict and the suspension of the Friends of Kidney Patients Association. He appealed to all benevolent individuals to acknowledge the patients' struggles and offer assistance, expressing hope that the association's reactivation would mark a significant step forward in reducing patients' difficulties.
