Aden: The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Ibb University organized on Sunday a mass gathering under the slogan 'Al-Sarkah is a Weapon and a Stance Against Enemies,' marking the annual anniversary of Al-Sarkah.
According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering was attended by the University President, Dr. Nasser Al-Hujaili, and several other key figures including his deputies for Academic Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al-Falahi, Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Fouad Hassan, Student Affairs Dr. Ahmed Abu Lahoum, his assistant Dr. Al-Ezzi Al-Aqab, and Assistant Secretary-General of the University Nabil Al-Warafi. Participants chanted slogans expressing the resilience and steadfastness of the Yemeni people in confronting global arrogance forces.
The statement issued by the gathering, read by Dr. Faid Al-Yousifi, emphasized the importance of commemorating the annual anniversary of Al-Sarkah, highlighting its role in strengthening the values of faith-based identity and consolidating its principles. It addressed the confrontation against the US-Zionist aggression, its crimes against the Islamic nation, and its sanctities.
The statement further reaffirmed continued resilience, steadfastness, and national cohesion, along with ongoing support for the supreme leadership and the armed forces. It also reiterated backing for the causes of the nation, particularly the Palestinian cause, until victory is achieved.
The importance of educating future generations according to the values of faith-based identity was stressed, aiming to protect youth from the dangers of soft warfare, enhance their awareness of various challenges, and follow the path of prominent figures of the nation in confronting current challenges.
Additionally, the necessity of continuing to organize events, activities, awareness programs, and mobilization courses was highlighted. The gathering emphasized promoting the slogan of Al-Sayha as a principled stance against enemies and reinforcing the approach of boycott, rejecting all forms of normalization and subordination.
The event saw the attendance of the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qawas; Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Bashir Al-Umay; his deputy Dr. Mohammed Mansour; Secretary-General of the Faculty Abduh Al-Badani; Director of Media Department Hashim Alawi; and Director of Activities and Student Affairs, Sadiq Wajih Al-Din.
