Mahwit: Governor of Al Mahwit Hanin Qatina affirmed that the September 21 revolution marked a pivotal turning point in the history of the Yemeni people, representing a strategic transformation that restored Yemen's national decision-making and enabled liberation from foreign dependency and guardianship.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Qatina explained in a statement that the pre-September 21 revolution era fundamentally differed from the post-revolution period, as the country had been under the domination of external forces controlling political and economic decisions, which deprived the state of its sovereignty and directly impacted citizens' lives.

He noted that the revolution came in response to the aspirations of the Yemeni people to build a just and independent state that prioritizes citizen welfare above all considerations and achieves justice and equality among the nation's children.

Governor Qatina emphasized that Al Mahwit Governorate has been and will remain at the forefront of provinces supporting the national liberation project, having made numerous sacrifices in defense of the homeland's sovereignty, unity, and independence.

He stressed the importance of continuing to raise awareness about the goals and principles of the September 21 revolution, particularly among younger generations, and strengthening faith-based and national identity while steadfastly confronting ongoing challenges resulting from continued aggression and blockade.

The Governor of Al Mahwit noted that the revolution will remain a guiding light for the Yemeni people in their journey toward freedom and independence, and the tremendous sacrifices made will yield a bright future for the children of this steadfast nation.
