Amran: The Governor of Amran, Dr. Faisal Jumaan, today inspected the progress of work on the project to build three additional classrooms with a school laboratory in Al-Shahari School in Amran city. Governor Jumaan, accompanied by the Directors of Initiatives in the governorate, Hashim Al-Raidi, and Amran District, Abdulrahman Al-Imad, reviewed the level of completion of the project, which comes within the framework of efforts to develop the educational infrastructure in the governorate, enhance the school's capacity, and reduce overcrowding in classrooms.
According to Yemen News Agency, they listened to an explanation from those in charge about the completion rate of the project, whose total cost is 30 million riyals, with community support and a contribution from the Initiatives Unit and the local authority of 30 percent, and its various components. Governor Jumaan affirmed the importance of the project, which falls within the priorities of the local authority in supporting the education sector, stressing the necessity of involving the community in implementing such development initiatives, considering education a fundamental pillar for building generations and shaping the future.
He pointed out that the local authority will continue to support educational and service projects, contributing to improving the quality of education and providing a suitable environment for male and female students. The Governor of Amran praised the role of community members and their interaction in implementing community initiatives, as well as the support of the General Administration of Initiatives in the governorate for various projects, and the contributions of the Parents Council, which played a role in the success of the initiative and motivating the community to contribute effort, money, and work materials.
For his part, the Director of Initiatives, Al-Raidi, pointed out that the project to build additional classrooms and a school laboratory represents a step towards enhancing the educational infrastructure in Amran city. He appreciated the fruitful cooperation between the community and the local authority in serving the educational process, to ensure the continuity of giving and achieve sustainable development.
