Governor of Hodeidah Honors Champions of Martyr Radwan Al Rubaie Football League in Bajil

Hodeidah: The Governor of Hodeidah Abdullah Atifi today honored the champions of the Martyr Dr. Radwan Al Rubaie football league, organized by the Shabab Bajil Club with the participation of sports teams from Bajil district.

According to Yemen News Agency, the final match at the Shabab Bajil Club stadium witnessed a competitive atmosphere and notable attendance, ending with the Martyr Al Rubaie team winning the championship by defeating Amal Al Ittihad two goals to one as part of a tournament that included 24 sports teams competing in a group stage format.

During the honoring ceremony, Governor Atifi emphasized the importance of sports activities in fostering a spirit of positive competition among youth, honing sports talents, and developing their abilities in various games. He praised the efforts made in organizing the tournament and the level of participation and community attendance that accompanied its events.

Atifi noted the active presence of Hodeidah province in the sports sector and how activities and tournaments provide a unifying space for youth that helps consolidate the values of cooperation and highlight promising sports talents and energies across various districts.

For his part, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the province, Imad Al Boraie, praised the level of organization of the tournament and the high football performance demonstrated by the participating teams, reflecting the youth's awareness and connection to national values and symbols, foremost among them the martyr minister Radwan Al Rubaie.

Meanwhile, the head of Shabab Bajil Club, Khaled Al Sharafi, affirmed the club administration's keenness to continue holding tournaments and sports activities that contribute to developing youth abilities and revitalizing the sports movement, appreciating the support of the provincial leadership and the Youth and Sports Office for the success of the tournament and its distinguished outcome.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Governor Atifi, along with official and sports leaders, presented the tournament cup, medals, and honorary awards to the winning team and participating teams, as well as honoring a number of supporting figures and the league organizing committees.

The honoring ceremony also witnessed the graduation of graduates of the open Al Aqsa Flood military courses from the sons of Bajil district and the sports community who had enrolled in the open courses at both the first and second levels during the past period.
