Hajjah: The Civil Status and Civil Registry Branch in Hajjah governorate had issued a total of 71,493 identity documents during 2024.
According to Yemen News Agency, a report from the branch detailed the issuances: 2,862 family cards, 61,107 personal identification cards (including new, replacement, and renewal), 4,322 birth certificates, 2,895 death certificates, and 307 marriage certificates.
Colonel Mohammed al-Muhatwari, director of the branch, stated that significant steps have been taken to facilitate citizen access to services across all districts. Essential equipment like printers, computers, and fingerprint scanners, along with office furniture and archiving supplies, have been provided.
He further noted the branch's commitment to staff development and the recent launch of a single-window system for both personal identification cards and civil registry services.
Al-Muhatwari also mentioned efforts to develop the archive by providing security and preservation tools for over 200,000 old and new documents.
