Hajjah: Hajjah governor Hilal Al-Sufi, together with Province Undersecretary Ibrahim Amer and Education Sector official Ali Al-Qutaib, visited several schools in the Washhah District to assess the current state of education.
According to Yemen News Agency, the delegation visited Al-Taqaddum, Sabt Al-Qudhat, and Al-Amal schools, where Washhah Education official Mohammed Shaye'a provided insights on student attendance and the primary challenges facing the educational sector, such as shortages of teaching staff and necessary equipment.
The officials also toured the branch of the Higher Institute for Teacher Training and Qualification. They were joined by Deputy Mobilization Official for the Ahem districts Ahmed Al-Ghamari, Director of the Health Office Dr. Ahmed Al-Kuhlani, Director of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch Saleh Al-Fallahi, District Director Abdulqaddous Al-Khashib, and Mobilization Official Sajjad Al-Rakhmi.
Governor Al-Sufi assured his dedication to supporting the education sector, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the educational process. He instructed the preparation of a study for the construction of two additional classrooms at Al-Amal School. Moreover, he emphasized the need for coordination with the education sector and other relevant authorities to tackle existing challenges and ensure that schools in Washhah and neighboring districts receive the necessary resources to enhance educational quality.
Ali Al-Qutaib underscored the ongoing efforts to mitigate the shortage of teaching staff and to provide a conducive learning environment for students.
