Hajjah: Hajjah governor Hilal Al-Sufi on Wednesday inspected the educational process at Al-Nour and Al-Jihad schools in Bakil Al-Mir district. Accompanied by Province Undersecretary Ibrahim M. Amer, Local Council member Ali Jabran, and Deputy Head of Mobilization in the Ahem districts Ahmed Al-Ghamari, Al-Sufi reviewed the attendance and discipline of teaching staff and students and assessed the schools' needs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor was briefed by Head of the Education Sector in the governorate, Ali Al-Qutaib, on the schools' most pressing needs, particularly the shortage of teaching staff, as well as the possibility of opening a branch of the Teacher Training and Qualification Institute. The governor also heard from the school administrations about class attendance, the main challenges facing the educational process, and the need to renovate some classrooms.
Al-Sufi stressed that education remains at the forefront of the governorate leadership's priorities, describing it as a cornerstone for building a generation equipped with knowledge and capable of confronting what he described as the enemy's conspiracies to keep the nation ignorant. He emphasized the importance of concerted official and community efforts to ensure the success of the academic year and said he would coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research on the accreditation of a branch of the Teacher Training and Qualification Institute.
The governor praised the resilience of educational personnel in the field and their continued commitment to their educational mission despite the challenges he attributed to the aggression and blockade. He affirmed that the governorate leadership would work to overcome difficulties and provide all possible support in coordination with the governorate's education sector.
