Hajjah: The local authority in Hajjah governorate has received a significant boost in resources with the arrival of 46,916 liters of diesel and 7,429 bags of cement from the Central Emergency Development Intervention Unit of the Ministry of Local and Rural Development. These supplies are designated to support ongoing community initiative projects within the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the handover ceremony saw Hajjah Governor Hilal al-Sufi expressing gratitude towards the Ministry of Local and Rural Development for their support through the Central Intervention Unit. He acknowledged the various projects being undertaken by community members across the governorate's districts with this crucial support.
Governor al-Sufi stressed the importance of collaboration among the local authority, community, and the Intervention Unit. This partnership aims to expand the scope of community initiative projects that address the service and development needs of the governorate's residents.
Abdulwahab Sinan, a representative of the Central Intervention Unit in Hajjah, stated that the diesel and cement would be used primarily for community-led road projects. He praised the community's role as a vital partner to supporting agencies and the local authority. Their involvement in implementing projects, along with providing necessary equipment and skilled labor, significantly contributes to development efforts and benefits the community at large.
