Hajjah: Several offices in the Hajjah province, including the Finance Office, the Tax and Customs Authority branch, and the Qat and Real Estate Tax offices, organized a commemoration event on Tuesday for the martyrdom of Imams Hussein and Zaid, peace be upon them.
According to Yemen News Agency, Hajjah undersecretary Ahmed al-Akhfash addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of drawing lessons from the sacrifices of Imams Hussein and Zaid to confront current threats facing the nation. Al-Akhfash highlighted that their revolutions are seen as an extension of the Prophet Muhammad's mission against injustice and tyranny, aiming to establish truth and justice worldwide.
Undersecretary Al-Akhfash noted that the Yemeni people are inspired by the examples of Imam Hussein and Imam Zaid during these critical times. He mentioned the Islamic Republic of Iran's initiative to send a plane for the wounded and the Yemeni delegation attending the funeral of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as actions rooted in faith, the Quran, and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
At the event, Mohammed Al-Muhajir, Director of the Tax Office, stressed the importance of commemorating the martyrdoms, which symbolize sacrifice and faith. He viewed the events as opportunities to uphold values, strive for reform, and maintain national unity and cohesion.
Sheikh Abdulmajid Sharaf al-Din of the Yemeni Scholars Association explained that the teachings of Imams Hussein and Zayd derive from their grandfather, the Prophet Muhammad. He emphasized the enduring influence of their legacy and the significance of commemorating Ashura and the martyrdom of Imam Zaid in guiding the lives of free individuals.
