Hajjah: A training course on ma'awiz (traditional wrap garment) weaving was launched on Saturday in Hajjah Governorate, organized by the Women's Development Department at the Governorate Office. The 30-day program aims to equip 20 women trainees from poor and low-income families in the city center with skills in weaving ma'awiz.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the opening of the course, Director General of Women's Development, Aya Al-Hamzi, emphasized that the training is part of ongoing initiatives and programs to enhance women's skills and empower them economically, thereby improving livelihoods and strengthening resilience. She urged the participants to make the most of the training outcomes to achieve the intended goals of developing their capabilities, noting that more activities and programs will be implemented in various fields in the future.
