Sana'a: The local authority and public mobilization office in the Hamdan district of Sana'a governorate organized a commemorative event on Wednesday to mark the 11th anniversary of the 21 September Revolution. The event was held under the slogan 'The 21 September Revolution: Freedom and Independence.'
According to Yemen News Agency, local officials and executive office directors attended the event, where speakers highlighted the revolution as a pivotal moment in Yemen's modern history. They emphasized its role in achieving freedom, dignity, and independence, while rejecting foreign domination. The speakers recalled the pre-revolution situation, highlighting issues of widespread insecurity, assassinations, and a government heavily influenced by foreign embassies. They stressed how the revolution restored the nation's sovereignty, pride, and dignity.
The speeches further noted that over the past 11 years, the 21 September Revolution has remained a symbol of resistance and resilience against external powers. The Yemeni people continue to confront aggression and blockade, showcasing their steadfastness. This determination reflects Yemen's sovereign choices under the leadership of the revolutionary movement, which upholds principles of supporting the oppressed in regions like Gaza, regardless of the sacrifices required.
