Sana'a: The Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges officially handed over the newly completed model qat tax collection center in the Yasilh area of Sana'a Governorate to the Tax and Customs Authority on Wednesday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project was completed at a cost of 174,532,000 rials, funded by the Executive Unit for Qat Sales Tax and supervised by the Tax and Customs Authority. The center is designed to streamline the collection process and includes two buildings with six offices, a control room, three weighing rooms, and additional service facilities.
During the inauguration ceremony, key officials including Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, Chairman of the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges, Fahd Dahmash, Assistant Deputy of the Tax Authority for Financial Affairs, and Abdulrahman Al-Kahlani, Director of the Executive Unit for Qat Sales Tax, inspected the facilities. Both Dahmash and Al-Kahlani commended the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges for completing the project according to the specified engineering standards and within the scheduled timeline.
They emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Ministry of Finance and the Tax and Customs Authority's strategic goals to establish strong institutional and infrastructural foundations, thereby enhancing overall performance within the authority and its affiliated entities.
Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami reiterated the corporation's commitment to executing infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and service facilities, adhering to the highest quality standards.
