Sanaa: The Head of the National Human Rights Authority, Ali Taiser, and the Head of the Ain Al-Insaniya Center for Rights and Development, Ahmed Abu Hamra, engaged in discussions today to explore ways to strengthen cooperation in the human rights sector.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting focused on developing institutional partnerships in monitoring, documentation, and defending human rights issues across various provinces, alongside addressing aggression crimes. The Head of the Authority highlighted the Ain Al-Insaniya Center's significant role in monitoring and documenting human rights reports, particularly in exposing violations linked to the American-Zionist-Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen.
Ali Taiser emphasized Yemen's current challenges, describing them as part of a systematic international conspiracy orchestrated by aggressor countries. He noted that the resilience of the Yemeni people has shifted the power dynamics, especially with their steadfast support for the Palestinian cause in Gaza. Taiser stressed the need for increased efforts and cooperation among human rights entities in the upcoming phase, as the Authority prepares to release comprehensive human rights reports aimed at enhancing international accountability for war crimes.
Ahmed Abu Hamra detailed the Center's programs and activities, highlighting its commitment to monitoring and documenting citizen violations. He expressed the Center's readiness to expand cooperative efforts and appreciated the support provided by the National Human Rights Authority to civil institutions in the human rights field.
The meeting was attended by the Legal Advisor of the Authority, Hameed Al-Rafeeq, and the Director of Organizations and Civil Society Affairs, Rami Al-Yousfi.
