Sana'a: The Ministry of Public Health and Environment has approved the national guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of extrapulmonary tuberculosis as an official reference across Yemen. The guideline was endorsed at the conclusion of a review workshop organized by the National Tuberculosis Control Program.
According to Yemen News Agency, Health Minister Dr. Ali Shaiban described it as a major scientific and professional achievement that will unify medical practices, improve diagnosis and treatment quality, and strengthen the national response to extrapulmonary TB. Officials stressed the importance of adopting the guideline nationwide to enhance clinical training, surveillance, and healthcare services.
