Health Minister and Deputy Interior Minister Inaugurate Development Projects at Model Police Hospital

Sana'a: Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban and Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Abdulmajeed Al-Mortada inaugurated several development and expansion projects, along with specialized medical departments, at the Model Police Hospital in Sana'a, coinciding with the final days of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Shaiban and Maj. Gen. Al-Mortada, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Human Resources and Financial Sector at the Ministry of Interior, Maj. Gen. Ali Al-Saifi, also launched the hospital's solar energy system with a capacity of 200 kilowatts. The system, funded by the Ministry of Interior, aims to enhance the efficiency and continuity of medical services by relying on renewable energy and reducing dependence on conventional fuel.

They also inaugurated the expansion and renovation project of the Urology Department, as well as the Dermatology and Cosmetic Center and the Oncology Surgery Center. These projects were implemented with funding from the Ministry of Interior to increase capacity and improve the quality of specialized healthcare services.

Shaiban and Al-Mortada further launched the second phase of the expansion of the Dialysis Center, which includes establishing a women's section and operating a new dialysis unit with a capacity serving 40 beds. This phase was completed at a cost of $70,000 funded by the Ministry of Health and Environment.

Deputy Interior Minister Al-Mortada affirmed that the inauguration of these projects comes within the ministry's plans to develop its healthcare system. He noted that expanding specialized centers and adopting alternative energy sources represents service resilience and a step toward achieving self-sufficiency in managing medical facilities.

For his part, Director General of the Model Police Hospital, Brig. Gen. Dr. Fahd Al-Madoumi, stated that equipping the hospital with modern facilities and specialized medical staff will contribute to providing advanced surgical procedures and distinguished medical services to ministry personnel and citizens.

The inauguration was attended by Director of the Ministry's Projects and Housing Department Brig. Gen. Mohammed Shabab, Deputy Director of the Hospital for Financial Affairs Col. Ahmed Al-Talbi, Director of the Dialysis Department at the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abyadh, along with a number of leaders and medical staff.

On the sidelines of the event, the Deputy Interior Minister and the Undersecretary of the Human Resources and Financial Sector honored the Minister of Health and Environment in appreciation of the effective partnership in improving medical services at police hospitals and his support for the 'Great Prophet' medical camps organized by the hospital.
