Sana'a: The Ministry of Health and Environment strongly condemned the Saudi-led coalition's airstrike on the central prison in Al-Jawf Governorate, which resulted in the death and injury of 14 people, including a child and a woman who were visiting relatives. In a statement, the Ministry explained that this heinous crime, perpetrated by the Saudi-led coalition through multiple airstrikes on the central prison in Al-Hazm District, constitutes a blatant violation of all international norms, conventions, and international humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting civilian facilities, especially prisons and shelters.
According to Yemen News Agency, the attack has sparked outrage and condemnation from various humanitarian organizations worldwide. These organizations have called for an immediate investigation into the incident and urged the international community to hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions. The Ministry's statement highlighted the ongoing suffering of civilians in conflict zones and called for stronger measures to protect innocent lives from such attacks.
