Taiz: The Health and Environment Office in Taiz province has undertaken a significant initiative to supply eight hospitals with essential medicines and medical supplies across various districts. This effort comes at a financial commitment of seven million and 172 thousand riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Mutawakel, the director of the Health and Environment Office in the province, detailed that the distribution benefited facilities such as Al-Nasr Shamir rural hospitals, Al-Barh rural hospital in Muqbana, and Al-Wahda mother and child unit in Salah district. Other hospitals that received supplies include Al-Rahda general in Khudair, Al-Salam Balnajdin in Shir’ab Al-Salam district, Al-Huria rural in Shir’ab Al-Runah district, Damma Ahkum rural, and Hifan rural. This initiative is aimed at enhancing health services for citizens and easing the burden on patients who struggle to afford necessary medications.
Dr. Al-Mutawakel acknowledged the Ministry of Health and Environment and the local authority in Taiz province for their ongoing support to the health sector. Their efforts are crucial in elevating the quality of health services and addressing the challenges posed by the ongoing aggression impacting the healthcare system.
