Hajjah: Employees of the Health and Environment Office and the Republican Hospital Authority in Hajjah province on Wednesday staged protest rallies condemning insults to the Quran and expressing solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants, including local health officials, denounced repeated offenses against Islamic holy sites and condemned the reported burning of a copy of the Quran by American extremist Jake Lang. The protests highlighted a unified stance against actions perceived as hostile to Islam and Muslims.
Statements issued during the rallies reaffirmed support for Palestinians in Gaza, solidarity with Hezbollah in Lebanon, and rejection of actions described as hostile to Islam and Muslims. Organizers also called on Arab and Islamic nations to take stronger positions against repeated insults to Islamic sanctities.
A separate women's rally by female health sector staff echoed the same messages and urged international condemnation of such acts.
