Hodeida deputy governor for eastern districts, Amir Muthana, on Thursday inaugurated the distribution of accommodation assistance for families affected by recent floods in Marawe'a district. Provided by the Yemeni Red Crescent and the international union of Red Crescent and Cross associations, the assistance targeted 191 families in al-Kard village. The deputy also inaugurated a project of expanding the district's main gateway leading to Hodeida-Sana'a road, and was briefed by officials on the expansion mechanism. Separately, Muthana checked damages left by recent floods to the citizens' houses and properties, and visited the affected families to make sure that they were provided with needed assistance.
