Hodeida Discusses Epidemic Disease Control Programs, Preparations for Fogging Campaign

Hodeida: Officials in Hodeida province discussed ongoing efforts to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and prepare for an upcoming fogging campaign aimed at controlling the spread of epidemic diseases.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was chaired by province undersecretary for services affairs Mohammed Halisi. It reviewed previous fieldwork and plans for intensifying waste removal, draining stagnant water, and launching awareness campaigns through schools, mosques, and media.

Halisi emphasized the need for sustained environmental action and coordinated efforts between local authorities, urging strict adherence to health guidelines and active community participation.

Health Office Director Dr. Ali al-Haddad outlined the ministry's comprehensive plan targeting densely populated areas, highlighting the importance of preventive spraying and epidemiological surveillance.

Water Authority Director Abdulrahman Ishaq noted ongoing drainage maintenance to prevent water accumulation, calling for continued support from both local authorities and the public.
