Hodeida: Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi inaugurated on Saturday a cash assistance distribution project for the poor and needy, funded by the General Authority of Zakat and implemented through the General Authority of Post.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project targets 60,910 beneficiaries across all districts of the governorate, with a total allocation of YR 2.218 billion, as part of efforts to ease the hardships faced by the most vulnerable groups.
Atifi emphasized the importance of delivering zakat funds to eligible recipients in accordance with Islamic guidelines, while the Zakat Authority confirmed that distribution through postal offices ensures an organized and swift process.
