Hodeida: Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, and Hodeida Governor Abdullah Atifi visited Kamaran district on Tuesday as part of the Eid al-Adha celebrations. During their visit, they met with stationed forces in the area, extending their congratulations and acknowledging the forces' role as the primary line of defense for the coast and territorial waters. The officials assured the forces of their commitment to meeting their needs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the visit also involved a review of the conditions faced by citizens in the district. The officials listened to pressing service needs that included water, electricity, and road infrastructure projects. A meeting was held with district leaders to discuss proposed projects such as the construction of water dams, drilling of wells, expansion of water networks, maintenance of electricity systems, studies for a desalination plant, and efforts in afforestation.
Minister Al-Rubai highlighted the ministry's focus on prioritizing Kamaran in its future strategic agricultural projects, stating that coordination is underway to ensure their prompt implementation. Meanwhile, Governor Atifi committed to leveraging local authority resources, in collaboration with various ministries, to speed up critical electricity and water projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. Citizens of Kamaran expressed their appreciation for the visit and voiced their hopes for practical measures to improve local services.
