Hodeida: Residents of Al-Kashouba area in Al-Marawiah district of Hodeida governorate on Monday held a cultural evening to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday for 1448 AH under the slogan 'At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah.'

According to Yemen News Agency, District Director Abdullah Al-Marouni described commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a reminder of the first model of resistance against oppression and arrogance. He stated that the Prophet was born in Mecca under difficult circumstances and confronted forces of polytheism and tyranny while carrying a message of truth and justice.

Al-Marouni highlighted that the Yemeni people's current experience of blockade and aggression for more than a decade draws parallels with the suffering endured by Muslims during the early days of the Prophet's mission. He emphasized that Yemen has, through divine grace and the resilience of its people, become a symbol of dignity and a model for supporting the oppressed.

Al-Marouni further stated that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects adherence to the Prophet's path and values in confronting injustice and supporting truth, renewing the commitment to follow his example and principles.

District Mobilization Officer Hamadi Matwan remarked that the victory of the Muslim nation depends on a sincere return to the Holy Quran and the Prophet. He noted that Yemen's popular and official positions in support of the Palestinian resistance are rooted in the teachings of authentic Islam.

He urged district residents to participate in two central events: the first at the district level on 10 Rabi' al-Awwal and the second at the governorate level on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, marking the Prophet's birthday.

Religious Affairs Official Hassan Al-Ahdal stressed the importance of continuing to commemorate the occasion by translating the Prophet's values and principles into everyday life, following his path of steadfastness, confronting forces of tyranny, and supporting the oppressed.
