Hodeida: The Council of Hodeida University, led by University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal, convened to evaluate academic performance reports from its various colleges and educational centers. The meeting also focused on the implementation progress of tasks outlined in the previous academic year's approved plan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the participation of the university's vice presidents, deans, deputies, and the Secretary-General, concentrated on preparations for the upcoming academic year 1447 AH / 2025-2026 AD. Discussions were held on enhancing academic and administrative readiness.
The council explored the establishment of a social solidarity fund for university staff, the allocation of study seats in rural districts, and the regulations for granting free seats to children of university employees.
Recommendations from the Academic Affairs Department regarding faculty promotions, adjustments, and master's degree awards for postgraduate students were also reviewed. Additionally, the council discussed the intake capacity for the Medical Microbiology and Immunology program and proposals concerning examination committees, cumulative GPAs, and the correction of academic records.
Emphasizing the importance of improving academic and administrative performance, the council reiterated its commitment to aligning institutional efficiency with the university's strategic vision and advancing educational outcomes and sustainable goals.
Dr. Al-Ahdal highlighted the university's dedication to maintaining academic quality standards and modernizing educational programs. He called on all academic and administrative units to collaborate responsibly in meeting development requirements and contribute to the university's future success.
