Hodeida: Hodeida University on Monday organized an intellectual and cultural awareness seminar titled "The Prophet's al-Wilayah and Migration and al-Aqsa Flood: Features of Public Mobilization and Building Awareness in the Face of Zionist and American Tyranny." Advisor to the university rector Dr. Majid al-Idrisi opened the seminar by stressing the importance of such intellectual gatherings.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Majid al-Idrisi highlighted the role of these gatherings in raising awareness about enemy plots and the broader dimensions of the ongoing conflict. He emphasized the significance of Eid al-Ghadir and reviewed the virtues and heroic stands of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) against "Jews and hypocrites," while cautioning against attempts to obscure historical facts and distort Islamic identity.
Dr. Abdullah al-Qalisi, Dean of Libraries, noted the Yemeni people's historical support for truth and their long-standing confrontation of injustice since the dawn of Islam. He asserted that today's enemy remains unchanged, though the tools may differ.
Dr. Ahmed Ezzi Saghir, also an advisor to the university rector, urged the commemoration of these religious occasions to draw lessons from Imam Ali's life. He highlighted Imam Ali's upbringing in the House of Prophethood and his qualifications for leadership.
Sheikh Ali Udhabi, Vice Rector of Dar al-Ulum al-Shari'ah University, discussed the principle of brotherhood established by the Great Prophet in Madina, recognizing its moral value for national unity.
Dr. Ezz El-Din Moadh, the University's Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, attributed the nation's current fragmentation to abandoning the guardianship of the Prophet's family, which allowed "corrupt individuals" to control its destiny.
Dr. Ali al-Banawi, Dean of the College of Engineering, warned against the "Zionist-American enemy's" efforts to dominate the nation through both "soft and military means," urging increased mobilization and preparedness.
Dr. Yousef al-Ajili, Dean of the College of Education, moderated the symposium and recited a poem celebrating Imam Ali's virtues and the Prophet's migration, which he noted helped solidify the foundations of the first Islamic state.
