Hodeidah: The Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Atifi, inspected on Monday the ongoing preparations at Al-Rasul Al-Azam Square in Al-Husayniyah, designated to host the central event for the southern districts on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, which was attended by several members of the Parliament and Shura Council, along with Deputy Director of Hodeidah Security Colonel Sari Al-Maghribi, the governor reviewed the arrangements for platforms, entry and exit routes for crowds, and the overall readiness of the venue to ensure smooth organization of the central celebration scheduled for Thursday.
Atifi listened to briefings from the organizing committees on the distribution of tasks, field teams, reception and sorting points, as well as the readiness of sound, lighting, and screen systems, in addition to sanitation and water services.
He directed the swift completion of the remaining works, raising the preparedness of teams, and ensuring close coordination between service authorities, security forces, and community committees to guarantee smooth movement, participant safety, and a dignified presentation of the event.
The governor stressed the importance of thorough preparations that reflect the active participation of the southern districts' residents in this occasion and highlight the spirit of collective effort to make it a success. He pointed out that both Al-Sammad Martyr Square in Hodeidah city and Al-Rasul Al-Azam Square in Beit Al-Faqih district are expected to witness a massive turnout this year.
Atifi also emphasized the need for unified efforts and enhanced safety measures through medical, first aid points, organized parking spaces, and clear guiding signs.
