Hodeidah University Launches Postgraduate Programs in Medicine and Surgery

Hodeidah: The College of Medicine and Surgery at Hodeidah University organized a scientific workshop to announce its new postgraduate programs. This initiative, coordinated with the Vice Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, aims to launch quality programs as part of the university's 2025 strategy to enhance scientific research and meet community needs.

According to Yemen News Agency, the university president, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal, applauded this development, highlighting the significance of scientific research in the university's mission and the importance of forming effective partnerships with both public and private institutions. Dr. Mohammed Suhail, the dean of the college, introduced the first phase of the initiative, which includes programs in Public Health, Health Administration, and Anatomy. The Quality Center also outlined plans for future program expansion.

The workshop participants stressed the value of these programs in improving the efficiency of medical personnel and enhancing the quality of health services. They commended the university's efforts to overcome challenges and continue its academic expansion despite ongoing adversities.
